COLLAGES
God gives us the ability to create. I enjoy building collages. Traditional collages are made up of different types of materials but my work is made up of different types of one material. Plain and patterned paper are blended together in my pieces. The process is time consuming because of the level of detail in them. I enjoy hunting for paper treasures and then manipulating them by using a knife as a drawing tool. Occasionally I sprinkle words over them like a dash of salt on food. My hope is that these collages will be appreciated for the level of detail in them. I also hope they will be enjoyed for the statement being made and the combination of colors and patterns
